Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. Its name has been emblazoned on creams, foods and food supplements for several years now. However, these products are only useful if they are functional. "When collagen is derived from the skin and bones of animals, it has very little potency," says Michalyn Andrews, CEO and co-founder of Provenance Bio, who has found a way to produce animal-free collagen, thereby increasing the precision and efficacy of the popular ingredient. In the video, Andrews explains the other benefits of animal-free production and the risks they avoid.
