Debt and the Future of Democracy
David Graeber is the man of the hour. Anthropologist and theorist of the Occupy movement, he has delivered the "definitive book about the crisis" (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung), entitled "Debt". Now Graeber comes to Switzerland for the first time. At GDI, exclusively, he explains why all debts should be cancelled to overcome the crisis and how we can shape a better future.
Formerly at Yale and now professor at the LSE, Graeber stands up for anarchy and political action. In his talk, he drafts a path to a utopia where capitalism no longer rules over our lives, and technological progress and direct democracy will be reality at last.
